    1. Oh, do tell Casual. 😃 What's it like, how did you end up visiting and watching movie in the actual "Ft13th" camp? 😎🤓

    2. The camp is near Blairstown, New Jersey. At certain times of the year a company called Crystal Lake Tours offers visits to the camp. Tickets are not cheap, but I found the experience worthwhile.

Most of the cabins used for the filming are still there. The main cabin used by the counselors looks the same. That pantry was built for the film, though. Another thing created for the film was the bathing cabin. One cabin was used for both Kevin Bacon's death scene and Brenda's sleeping quarters. The tour was at night, so there was not a lot that you could see around the lake. There was a visit to the general area where Jason's canoe attack was shot. The tiny beach where Alice and Mrs. Vorhees have their fight is also around there.

    3. I should have mentioned that the Boy Scout camp is called No-Be-Bo-Sco. It is still used throughout the summer by the Boy Scouts.

    4. Here is a link to my Blue Sky post about the tour. I am not good at this kind of HTML task, so I hope it works. Some of the photos are not great because of the dark conditions. Or I am just a bad photographer with the phone?
