There's stuff I appreciated in it, but you probably need a degree in Polish history to understand the symbolism. I'm still determined to check out more Szulkin, but so far I like Andrzej Żuławski's stuff more (I watched The Third Part of the Nigth and Devil a while back and they grabbed me a lot more).
