At the 30:54 is a closing love letter to Romero that is tribute to his inspiration on film fans. It's great. After I watch (and most likely have to endure) "Kuso" tonight, of course.Chaybeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00696179838579647187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-79308047372022214032017-07-21T15:27:23.234-05:002017-07-21T15:27:23.234-05:00Day of the Dead is my preference. Once the zombies get in, the darkness of the mine becomes menacing. The threat cannot be seen until its almost upon you. The death of one character, who get pulled in half, is very memorable. It is one of the few times that I have become squeamish watching a horror film. Also, you have got to love Bub.

I have tried to connect with Dawn of the Dead on several occasions. After watching every cut (I own the Ultimate Edition DVD set), it is a film that I have come to admire more than like.

I have loved the original Night of.. since I first saw part of it. That would have been on a Saturday Night horror program when I was a kid. I can remember being freaked out by the cemetery attack and the shaky camera work of Barbara's flight from there. While time and repeated viewings have lessened the impact of NIGHT, I still marvel at the atmosphere and nihilism of it. Like you, I wanted to revisit Knightriders, although it's a movie I'd only discovered last year during a Junesploitation free space. It's a movie I instantly fell in love with though.Rosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05129602094443434975noreply@blogger.com
