I feel the exact same way! I still don't understand why they can't just add a disclaimer before movies on cable (like they do for Violence, Nudity, Language, etc.) that says AN ANIMAL WILL APPEAR TO BE HURT DURING THIS FILM. It would make things so much easier.Mookiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04718010493435606371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-58265167953487662462016-05-12T19:34:07.608-05:002016-05-12T19:34:07.608-05:00Possibility the most famous to me is Cannibal Holo...Possibility the most famous to me is Cannibal Holocaust where Ruggero deodato faced the courts under Charges of Being a Snuff movie and Animal cruelty where he actually killed animals in the movie, its a tough watchDennishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13900651640246375537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-51249186684434034772016-05-12T16:03:39.172-05:002016-05-12T16:03:39.172-05:00Counterpoint: there is a canine death in Easy Virt...Counterpoint: there is a canine death in Easy Virtue that is hilarious. Yes, I'm an idiot, especially in the morning. Also wish I had visiting that big middle part of our country more. The handful of times I did, I just blasted through the Transcanada. I have such an easier time watching people get killed in movies over animals.

I remember going to see The Rover (spoiler) and so many people couldn't understand why Guy Pearce would go through all that shit for his dog. Probably the first time I cried watching a movie.

I am happy that there have been no casualties with the fires in N. Alberta, but I hadn't considered the animals. Still mostly happy that no people died.

And you SHOULD rewatch John Wick...it's pretty awesome, death of dog notwithstanding.

Also, Yann Martel isn't from Saskatoon. (I was surprised, because I somehow thought he was born and raised in Montreal). He was born in Spain, and grew up in many countries as his parents worked everywhere it seems. He lives in Saskatoon though. (Also, go Winnipeg Jets! I wear a hat with their old symbol!)

"Come on! Artax!
Fight against the sadness!
Artax, please.
