Surprised no one else mentioned this, I was practically screaming into my zune at that part.

Also, this is obscure and no one will find it as funny as I do, but the main thing that sold me on Netflix's Daredevil before it even came out was Vincent D. as the baddy. The Nick Nolte-ing of the various movie lines by Patrick a couple of episodes back (Backdraft?) had me rewinding a few times.

Also, I'm a big fan of the gritty reincarnations of the comic book movies, and I am really enjoying the Netflix Daredevil show. I think it does a great job of telling the stories of the different characters (except Foggy, whose story has yet to be told, as of episode 8), so that when there are character vs. character conflicts later, you feel the stakes for each side, not just one.Predator Minute Podcasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02958735770519595547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-26348004984792157742015-04-16T12:51:02.866-05:002015-04-16T12:51:02.866-05:00Just to clarify:

I really like these ones where you talk about a lot of different things rather than focusing on one movie.

I like the points you made about the YouTube giants Honest Trailers and CinemaSins. I love it when the movies they poke fun at are things they actually like (recognizing the fact that, like you say, most of what they point out isn't actually what makes or breaks the movie), but more and more I feel like Honest Trailers in particular actually doesn't like the movies they critique. Their recent Interstellar episode in particular felt more mean-spirited to me, but maybe I'm just being overly sensitive since I've had to listen to so many people hate on that movie already. Not to get into an Interstellar debate, but I think that movie definitely falls apart when you look closely at its plot, but that didn't stop me from having it in my top 10 films from last year. I guess I just like it when those channels are more light-hearted about the content they present, because at the end of the day what they're pointing out might not matter given the right audience.

I'm not a big TV guy, but the more I hear about Daredevil the more interested I become. Badass Digest just covered it on their podcast, and now you guys, and I'm wondering if I should try it out. My girlfriend is more into TV than film, so we could use something else to watch together. I haven't sold her on Danger 5 yet, but I'm trying.Weshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10837970803266198653noreply@blogger.com
