The commentary Scorsese did for the Criterion laserdisc (which I also owned at one time) is one of the best, and was fortunately ported over to the Blu Ray. His discussion of how he was influenced by Hitchcock in two key scenes is fascinating.<br /><br />Two sequences always stand out to me. The final fight with Robinson is a masterwork of direction, editing, and sound design. And the scene with Jake in the jail cell is unforgettable. At long last, he has no one else to push against, and can only flail helplessly against the wall.<br /><br />This is one for the ages, JB.
