That movie has a similar kind of undercover cop story with a fine central performance by Treat Williams.
Both have this typical Lumet-documentary feeling I like very much and both come to a point, where the characters realize that there is not one single person they can really trust. Great flicks that have aged fairly well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-50242236306691679642015-07-11T18:05:24.400-05:002015-07-11T18:05:24.400-05:00I will try it out late at night; I've been doi...I will try it out late at night; I've been doing that lately while catching up on Hannibal and giving myself the yips. I'm curious whether he's as Bohemian in real life as he seems to be in the movie.Mark Ahnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00695975412662760562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-63228137622909654312015-07-11T00:46:34.203-05:002015-07-11T00:46:34.203-05:00When you watch 2001, watch it in the dead of night...When you watch 2001, watch it in the dead of night when everything is quiet and the only source of light is your TV Kino Notabihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15852233217962741446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-84071474696966141972015-07-10T18:08:12.202-05:002015-07-10T18:08:12.202-05:00Don't feel bad, Mark. When it comes to Serpico what I like about it, is that at no time during the movie does it feel bigger then what it actually is. Something tells me if the movie was made today there would be a lot of speechifying which would get a bit old. What I really like about Serpico is the almost documentary feel to it, New York seems liked a super dirty place back in the 70's.
On a small side note I would love to see Serpico put into the Lethal Weapon universe, talk about an awkward trio cop buddy film.TOMBARTMAN454@GMAIL.COMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14372444818664534482noreply@blogger.com
