Always glad to see someone throw love in its direction. It's probably my least favorite of the Nightmares, but I still love it.

If there's one movie on this list that I need to give one more chance to, it's Zombie's Halloween II. I've always liked it way more than his first one, if only because it's definitively HIS movie instead of his take on John Carpenter's. But I still haven't brought myself to really LIKE it just yet. Maybe the third time will be a charm. So naturally I have a real affection for that movie. Of course, when you look at the movie through adult eyes its "message" seems well out of whack. But for a young insecure boy, it was manna for my soul.Steve K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02141959251034133806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-55453102544477425562018-03-29T23:52:00.619-05:002018-03-29T23:52:00.619-05:00Sweet lineup, and good tips for things I never tho...Sweet lineup, and good tips for things I never thought of looking for like Amityville 2, Dracula's Daughter, and Return To Salem's Lot...Michael Moriarty is a crush I don't want to shake.

Personally though I think Texas Chainsaw 2 is too excellent here, it belongs with Evil Dead 2 and Aliens. I think 5 tries to be something different. When I heard the production stories in Never Sleep Again and got a sense of what Stephen Hopkins was up against, I started to gain new appreciation for it that has only grown in the years since.Patrick Bromleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00771837625286775607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-22564737572441704932018-03-29T23:09:21.511-05:002018-03-29T23:09:21.511-05:00Damnit is it October yet? I've always been a big fan of Nightmare 5 and I'm glad to see it get some recognition. I rarely hear anyone say anything good about it. I've always felt bad for Stephen Hopkins, who I thought did some fantastic visual work with it, but was given no time to really explore what he tapped into. The premise is still really smart, in my opinion. Sure, Dream Master is kinda fun, but it's not very 'clever', if that makes sense. Plus I much prefer Lisa Wilcox in Dream Child. I know it’s a departure from the original House but it still has the same spirit. I mean the original had horror comedy vibes right? Anyway I digress, House 2 has a fun adventure fantasy vibe to it with some comedy sprinkled in. I found the caterpillar puppy creature adorable. Anybody else a fan of House 2?Cecil Hesterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14806271011497361243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-25105907093594318702018-03-29T14:20:57.130-05:002018-03-29T14:20:57.130-05:00I just got out of a pretty stressful exam at schoo...I just got out of a pretty stressful exam at school, and reading this was exactly the kind of pick me up I needed.
