The Aimee Mann soundtrack to Magnolia has so much to do with why I love that movie. Even just a song playing when the end credits roll can have a huge impact on my enjoyment.

Some of my favorites:

"Stuck in the Middle" in Reservoir Dogs
"Shadow on the Sun" in Collateral
"Just Like Honey" in Lost in Translation
Basically every song in Dazed and Confused, which all render a movie scene in my head
"Against the Wind" in Forrest Gump
"No Regrets" in Blue Ruin
"Jessie's Girl" in Boogie Nights
"Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"Andy Bishophttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17324674060230571696noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-26028481246532930192015-11-06T07:53:57.626-06:002015-11-06T07:53:57.626-06:00Great article! There’s something about that scene where Greta Gerwig is dancing down the street that fills me with joy.
I’m also a big sucker for end credit music. PT Anderson is a master at this. Whether it’s ELO at the end of Boogie Nights or Brahm’s in There Will Be Blood. Whenever a good movie is capped off by a great song, it’s 99% certain I’m going to be sobbing like a child.Chris Johnstonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06935609157656618983noreply@blogger.com
