I have heard Jeremy recommended in many podcasts and Youtube discussions. Elevator To The Gallows has that beautiful Miles Davis score that adds to the already strong mood of the film. As much of a spaghetti western fan as I am, The Great Silence is a film I respect more than love. The Morricone score is among my favorites from him, however. Sweet Smell Of Success is as cynical a 1950s film gets. It is one of those films that only found an audience later.A Casual Listenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02395983733474039015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-87337377174363661222022-01-07T13:37:56.511-06:002022-01-07T13:37:56.511-06:00I've only seen two of these (Sweet Smell of Su...I've only seen two of these (Sweet Smell of Success and The Hot Rock), so I have some catching up to do, Anthony! What a movie! :-D "The Cranes Are Flying" is still criminally underrated (such fluid and creative camera work) and "Two-Lane Blacktop" exists in a world of its own where Warren Oates is destined to drive aimlessly looking for a lifestyle he can no longer find. Congrats! :-)J.M.
