What brought me HERE was how impressed I was with the child actor. I can't believe he was not cast in even more films. EVERY scene of his is just SO authentic.Phoenixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09807440044656559082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-1252148214067715902022-11-18T12:18:25.351-06:002022-11-18T12:18:25.351-06:00Your ability at communicating in written form is a...Your ability at communicating in written form is as awful as your opinion.Phoenixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09807440044656559082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-49763930363753161932021-07-07T02:10:13.563-05:002021-07-07T02:10:13.563-05:00lol no he is badlol no he is badAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05920843066324813862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-16510974514004563752017-05-10T19:17:39.594-05:002017-05-10T19:17:39.594-05:00Scary Movie Month commentary episode?Scary Movie Month commentary episode?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03171919450410869053noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-67658263679123543362017-05-10T18:46:02.822-05:002017-05-10T18:46:02.822-05:00Alex Vincent was wonderful as Andy and the reason ...Alex Vincent was wonderful as Andy and the reason the movie works and it spawned all the sequels...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17727771373532629050noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-23668219778510286662013-10-17T22:16:19.100-05:002013-10-17T22:16:19.100-05:00If Alex Vincent didn't believe in Chucky, neit...If Alex Vincent didn't believe in Chucky, neither would we have. He was a big reason why Child's Play had a "believability" to it... creating a new monster during the height of the 1980s slasher genre.

If the tag at the end of the unrated cut of Curse of Chucky didn't, as Patrick says, cancel out what had just occurred before the credits ran, I think the series, as a whole, could have ended on a high note, instead of "That's cool, but whaaaattttt?????" Andy is great because he is sweet and vulnerable and innocent but never helpless.

I love that he gets his own breakfast and that he knows how to ride the subway and how to get home if he and his mother get separated. It reflects well upon his mother that she trusts him with some autonomy and when the stakes are high he's all the more tough because of it. When Chucky terrorizes him Andy mans-up to defend himself with a scalpel, a baseball bat, or finally setting Chucky on fire. That sort of toughness might feel out of place with a different child actor but Alex Vincent totally sells it.Darren Reidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15683665414007012419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217427319662074458.post-70194336006784217442013-10-17T12:05:12.186-05:002013-10-17T12:05:12.186-05:00I love, love, love Alex Vincent in Child's Pla...I love, love, love Alex Vincent in Child's Play!!! Good call! One of my favorite line readings ever is "since forever!"

I firmly believe Vincent's sweet, innocent, adorable performance is part of what makes Child's Play so great. I would also say that he derserves credit for giving his great performance. Kids are just as capable of giving crappy performances as adults are, and this one definitely isn't crappy. As you said, it's effective.
John Murphyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08810774557887719483noreply@blogger.com
