F This Movie! - Return to Nuke 'Em High Vol. 1

Patrick sits down with Catherine Corcoran, Asta Paredes and Clay von Carlowitz, the three stars of the new Troma movie Return to Nuke 'Em High Vol. 1, to talk Troma, art, sexuality and what it's like to sit at the loser table. This is a good one.

  1. Now THAT is a movie interview/discussion!
    Well done Patrick. Great show.
It is so good to hear actors who talk of their work with such genuine enthusiasm and who have put sincere thought into their art. All done with no disclaimers or apologies for the movie being a " B " movie.
I have never seen a Troma movie before but I will definitely be checking this one out.
Thanks Asta, Clay, Catherine and the Barista. Great show.

  2. Awesome interview Patrick - a great opportunity not wasted! This would be a perfect extra feature on the eventual DVD release - how do we make it happen?!

Like Brad I am uninitiated in the world of Troma movies - I have a vague memory of seeing The Toxic Avenger when I was younger, but other than that I've neither deliberately avoided them or sought them out, but you and the actors involved in Return to Nuke 'Em High Vol. 1 have piqued my interest. I don't know if there's anyway I can influence getting a screening in small-market Halifax, Nova Scotia (especially since our locally-owned theatre monopoly recently became internationally-owned) but I'll send em a tweet and see what they say! However I'm able to see it, I'm looking forward to it - sounds like there's some intelligence and heart behind it and the over-the-top violence and nudity is icing on the cake!

    1. Several of my favorite Troma titles are available for streaming on Netflix right now, as well as for free on their YouTube channel. See what you think.
