  1. Of all the deaths and loses in the world of cinema recently, this one cuts the deepest for me. The works of Harold Ramis, especially when teamed with Bill Murray, always brought a smile to my face. I know I will miss him. I think I will spend this week working through his filmography in tribute,.

  2. Although he went on to bigger and better things, the Harold Ramis I will always remember is his wonderfully deadpan performance as "that other guy" alongside Bill Murray in Stripes. Ramis didn't seem to be acting in that role - he was just an ordinary nerdy guy blessed (or cursed, if you prefer) with an anarchic tornado of a friend in Murray. Yet he didn't disappear or get swallowed up, he carved out a nice little niche for himself, just as he did as Egon in Ghostbusters.

You will be missed, Dr. Spengler.

  3. Even though he had many career highlights, the part of his work that sticks out for me immediately is his scene with Seth Rogen in Knocked Up. It's so sweet and funny.

Ben's Dad: I love you. You're the best thing that ever happened to me.
Ben Stone: I'm the best thing that's ever happened to you?
    Ben's Dad: Yes.
Ben Stone: Now I'm starting to feel a little sorry for YOU...
