  2. Sorry to hear you crushing my boy Roger Moore here, but you’re right about mainly everything. I can’t defend this movie, it’s his worst movie, and the second worst in the series (behind Quantum of Solace).

I still have hope that you’ll turn around the Roger Moore hate-train by the time you get to Octopussy. I WILL defend that one!

As always I still really enjoyed listening. #YoureTheManMan

    2. The worst in the series? You have seen "A View to a Kill" right? I dig "Golden Gun..." can't defend it either though. I guess these Moore Bonds just push our buttons and click or not.

  3. I think your James Bond podcasts are turning into my favorites. I was listening to your podcast in public today, and I embarrassed myself with my excessive giggling.

  7. My Twitter wish came true! Mike and Patrick together, again...talking about a terrible James Bond movie! You guys have great chemistry. I feel like Mike brings out something in Patrick that you don't see with everybody else. It's like a faux mean streak that I find hilarious. The Bond and horror movie series podcasts are my favorite. Again, no disrespect to everyone else...they're all great. I just watched Solar Babies and it is definitely a movie. You talked about Jupiter Ascending and didn't mention Eddie Redmayne! He just won a fucking oscar and his performance is completely bananas. The rest of the movie is terrible but the more I think about it, I think I love how utterly ridiculous he is. Maybe on the next Bond podcast, you could talk about how many of the movies are actually good. I would say most of them aren't. That doesn't make me love them any less. I might say that Kingsman is better than most of them. Anyway, I've ranted long enough. To reiterate, you guys are awesome and it's good to have Mike back!

  8. That was very entertaining, you could say Titalating! WOOOOHOOOO

I like the Patrick Bromley curve effect turning up again! Don't do it! These are not the droids you are looking for!
For some reason now I don't feel like re visiting this movie but I feel like Listening to Pearl jam, I like Pearl Jam too :) and reading a Tobe Hooper book

Also there is supposed to be a Gunnar Hansen book where he is the narrator on the Audio version which I want to read too

  9. OH THIS MOVIE. It's so awful. And I just adore James Bond and regularly obsess over the series. But I've never liked this one. That scene of Moore hiding the girl in the closet is... you put it right... disgusting. Anyway, loved the podcast guys! Always a blast to have Mike on! Please never stop talking about FT13 part 7.

  10. Dying at work listening to the Davos story - oh, MIke - I've come to the realization that my favourite F This Movie co-host is whichever one I'm listening to at the time. I'm not even a little bit of a Bond fan and I love this series.

And I know exactly what Brent means about the "faux meanstreak" - I know in my neck of the woods friendship is pretty much measured by how comfortable you are shitting on someone so I think I understand where it's coming from.

  12. Love the Bond podcasts so so much. My request - ONLY do Moore's movies. I wanna see how far Moore hate can go.

Here's an alternate ending for Man with the Golden Gun. Patrick I think you're going to like it.

  13. To clarify on your confusion re: the price of golden bullets, I believe the "million a shot" is meant to refer to how much he charges for the hit, not the hardware. He's got to afford that island mansion somehow!

  14. Finally got to hear this one this morning, and I'm going to be laughing over "Little FuckShit" for the rest of the week. Just typing it now made me giggle out loud at work. So great.

  15. It took awhile, but I was finally able to listen to this podcast (this summer has royally sucked, for reasons I won't get into here). I love the Bond podcasts, and this is no exception. There is a tendency among the weaker Bond films to have a potentially awesome moment, and then viciously step on it with stupidity. This film has that gawd-awful slide whistle during the corkscrew jump. Moonraker had what could have been one of the best cold opens ever with those amazing free-fall stunts - but then Jaws shows up and starts flapping his wings. And do I need to mention that redneck sheriffs should not be seen anywhere near a Bond film? It's a sad state of affairs when even Britt Ekland in a bikini cannot save a movie.
