Love the new banner! All this giddiness is contagious.
This is my first year listening to F This Movie, so I'm going to try to get in the spirit (get it?) of things and participate even though I'm a total baby when it comes to watching horror movies (as in, I cry at the drop of a hat and then sleep all day only to stay awake all night). I'm really looking forward to the list Patrick promised Mark Ahn of "milder" scary movies for lightweights like me.
Question F'ers and/or F-Heads - going to officially kick of the month with A Nightmare on Elm Street (The Purge was an exercise bike Netflix watch - better than I expected incidentally!) in tribute to Wes - is the director's commentary sufficiently engaging to be worth the sacrifice of the movie experience? I haven't seen it in a couple years... Is there much there that hasn't been covered in, say, Never Sleep Again?
There's just a bit of overlap you may have heard somewhere else (NSA, other interviews on film/in print, etc) but to hear someone as erudite and intelligent as Wes was discussing his creation of one of the finest horror movies ever made -- you can't go wrong with that, my friend. Although if you haven't seen the movie itself in awhile, I'd definitely go that route first, let the greatness wash over you again, and then rock the commentary at some point afterward. Either way, enjoy, man!
Thanks bud - I fell asleep during the last half hour last night (I know, I know, but I've got a baby!) without the commentary so I might start from the beginning tonight with the commentary - I really do enjoy listening to him.
WOOHOO LET'S DO THIS F HEADS
