  1. Such a fun time, just like last year (which was my first). Excellent movie choices, especially Night of the Comet was a real surprise and a movie I will for sure watch regularly (I'm guessing I'm not alone on that one).

A bit of fatigue may have set in on me by the time we got to Streets of Fire and chunks of the movie just went by me (will have to revisit it) but Ghostbusters got me in the groove again (how could it not?) and the night as a whole was a real blast, capped off nicely with the live stream on Periscope.

Can't wait for next year! Fortunately there's Junesploitation and Scary Movie Month to keep the movie love flowing until then. Thank you, FTM gang!

  2. It was a very strange night for me, with the time difference I tried and failed to stay up all night, I stayed awake till the beginning of Comet, then woke up middle of the night and watched all the live periscope broadcast, which was fun but I was gutted I did not get to join in, then I woke up again and watched Ghostbusters, then I slept again, and last night I watched comet which I bought for the occasion, it was a good time to be part of some of it and in spirit I still watched all the films

  3. Is there a way to watch the live periscope broadcast now? Please link me to the video if possible.

    1. It looks like the broadcasts expire after 24 hours. Not sure if they were able to save them for watching later or not.

  4. So bummed I couldn't be here for the whole fest (like I was last for last years) but I chimed in on TOD and had a fantastic time. This is such a great event and you always make a bunch of great Twitter friends and I'm just so grateful that this thing exists. All the events on this site are so awesome and all the people here are great and I'm very happy I stumbled across it about a year and a half ago. Also, as per Dougs question on TOD, no Indiana Jones is not the hero of the movie. Short Round is. Short Round is my spirit animal.

  5. This was my first F This Movie Fest. Only been coming to this site for a few months now, but I love the work Patrick and the others have been doing, and these last few days have solidified how much I love the community here. Already looking forward to participating in Junesploitation.

  6. SO much fun to partake in this years fest. I couldn't be there for all of it and the time difference was a major bummer (Last Starfighter started at 5am Feb 14 here) and then I overslept a little because I figured hey if I am watching these movies from the future I've already done it...right?

Anyway, bad time travel analogies aside it was so good and I'll be there for more of it next year I promise.

PS Night of the Comet was so much fun and such a surprise. Thanks you teenage comet zombies.

  7. RIP Vanity. Unreal and so young. Not only did I dig her music, buy she starred in one of my fav. movies of all time, The Last Dragon, and another movie that I absolutely love, Action Jackson.

  8. Fantastic fest this year. Had so much fun reading all of the amazing tweets. Everyone who participated was great! Wish I could have been around for more than TOD and Ghostbusters, but an even greater effort will be made to carve out time next year.

Also props to Doug for the Periscope idea. It was a very entertaining nightcap to the fest.

  9. I didn't get a chance to partake because of work this weekend but I peaked at the periscope thing later. That was really cool!

  10. I tried to watch as much as I could and it was a blast! I would have watched all of them, in their entirety, if my family didn't keep asking me stupid crap. I love them, they're great! This is what separates this site from the others. I wish you guys all the success but I really like the vibe the site has. It hasn't gotten to the point where all the comments are flooded by assholes. It's very easy to shit on things when you don't have to look someone in the face. If that is your thing then get the fuck out. This is F This Movie, motherfucker(period)

  11. That was great - I didn't fully understand what was happening with the Periscope thing and I had to update my iPad to install the app - had I known it was a live broadcast of the podcast I would've made a better effort to stay awake! It was fun watching it the next day though! Apparently Jan farts multi-coloured hearts? Is that a poet thing?

Unfortunately I had to bail for a movie-and-a-half to drive an hour away in a snowstorm to put a new alternator in my car (always a good feeling when you're out in the middle of nowhere in some stranger's shed and you start to feel fairly certain they're not going to murder you) so it was the first Fest of the 5 that I wasn't able to participate in the whole thing but it still felt like one of the best ones - great to see it keep growing - already looking forward to next year!

    1. Sounds like a good set up for a horror movie :)

    2. That's what it was feeling like, Dennis! "Come on in," the man in the dark overalls who had responded to my email at 3:30am in the morning said. "I've got a nice fire going."

"Great!" I said. To dispose of my corpse?! I thought.

  12. The plot gets even better, a bath full of acid and a car crusher round the back, all evidence destroyed,

It was nice to of known you :)
