It's F This Movie Fest!

Tonight Today is what it means to be young.

The day of F This Movie Fest 5 is finally here! Beginning at Noon CST today, we'll be watching five of the best movies from 1984! Monkey brains and beating hearts for everyone.

Follow us on Twitter (@fthismovie) and be sure to follow the hashtag #fthismoviefest to participate in the conversation. Thanks to EVERYONE who has worked so hard to spread the word and get people involved. The excitement all of you have been expressing here and on Twitter has meant the world to all of us. And you're right to be excited! I know we said last year's fest was our best ever, but F This Movie Fest 5 is going to make F This Movie Fest 4 look like F This Movie Fest 3!

  2. I'll only be able to watch Temple of Doom and Ghostbusters in their entirety. Should still be a fantastic day.

  3. I'm gonna do my best to be in. Got stuff to do (F real life) so I might be in and out. Definitely gonna shoot for TOD because how could I miss celebrating one of my top 20 fav. movies ever with a bunch of F-heads!

  4. Can someone refresh my memory since I rarely use Twitter - every time you comment you have to add #fthismoviefest at the beginning, correct?

  5. I'm committed to staying for the whole thing, provided of course I don't fall asleep. It is after all 8 pm here when the thing starts, so I might need a little caffeine to get through it. Still, I wouldn't miss is for the world!

  7. Ouch! Locked out by Twitter's insistence on phone numbers during registration. No respect for privacy. Kind of apt, though, considering we're in 1984 territory :)
Will just have to follow the chat and keep my comments to myself.
Fist pump, and getting my lederhosen ready in anticipation of Willem Dafoe!

    1. The Last Starfighter - there's got to be a sequel@

Indiana Jones - is that THE David Fincher doing the matte photography?

    2. Sorry, opted for Streets of Fire first.
If there were a remake, would Mary Elisabeth Winstead not make a great Ellen Aim?
      Anybody agrees, tweet that girl.

    4. PS: if you're looking for more early Willem go to To Live And Die In LA.
If ya fancy more from this era Walter Hill, check out The Warriors.

  8. Don't hate me for this (either posting off topic or at the last minute because I just found out) but in case anyone in the Denver area is interested....

  9. Great fest this year guys! Loved all the tweets, loved the live podcast. If course a big thanks to Patrick, for not just this week but for all the work he puts in year round. I'm sad I could only do 2 movies, but it was a lot of fun. Can't wait for next year, when we get to watch Thinner, and all the other hits of 1996!

  10. It's -30 here this morning (Celsius). Perfect day for another marathon. The kids picked Lelo and Stitch, and Rambo, first blood. (Their mom will be pissed, but heck, john rambo was a Buddhist...he never wanted any trouble).
