On the subject of cancer, I only just recently found out there was a documentary made about Spartacus star Andy Whitfield's ultimately fatal battle with cancer called Be Here Now: The Andy Whitfield Story. Unfortunately it looks like the only way to see it currently is for screenings to be set up through Tugg. I'd like to see it at some point even through the trailer alone breaks my heart.

I Think I Jan
A Jan Down by the River
Jantastic
I never knew Jan's connection to the C word, this part of the show made me cry and made me proud how well the Raising went, we love you Jan(Behind every great man stands a great woman) B. Or Jan(My wife had a good idea about this movie)B
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dennis, just the way Jan expressed herself it was the most life affirming and heart breaking podcast. And just to repeat again, this was an amazing thing Patrick did for an amazing cause. My Mother in Law is going through the same it, and its hard because we live far away from her. And just listening to Jan gave me hope. Okay will stop being mushy. But wow the women of F This Movie are incredible; Jan, Erika, Melissa and Cait. Keep it coming.
ReplyDeleteI love Jan's insights, the Wolverine will never be the same again, his healing capacity is amazing "Does it hurt?"
DeleteLindsay, thank you for your kind words; I'm really touched that you felt that way about listening. Best wishes to your mother-in-law for a speedy and complete recovery. I'm sure every note or call or good wish you send her, even from far away, helps brighten her day.
DeleteI know I probably only heard 1/5 of the 18 hours, but the time spent listening to this was by far my fave.
ReplyDeletePs Jan
ReplyDeleteI saw Annie live on stage in London the original showing
Wow! I bet that was great - I saw it with my mom when it came to Chicago. Erika wanted her middle name to be "ET-Annie" but my middle name really IS "Ann"!
DeleteImagine how different Jan's story would have been if she hadn't seen The Meaning Of Life, but Jaws 3D instead.
ReplyDeleteBreast cancer is an illness that most women go through the hard phase of their life. I'm just glad that Jan B., was able to find inspiration to fight through watching these movies. Unlike the stories of people from rushmyessay.com reviews who just gave in to cancer and die without fighting.
ReplyDeleteThis is like your conventional push up, except that instead of pushing from the ground, you're pushing from the walls.
