  2. I also really glade to hear this too! And Adam made a great point Ghost really did connect with kids, saw it when I was 9 (?), and fell in love with it, I made my parents and siblings rent it so many times, my house ended up having a ghost ban, they couldn't take it any more.

  3. About misery, the theme (not alcoholism like stephen king said, but a fan being angry at her favorite author) is still strangely of our time. With twitter and everything. People sending death threats at authors or reviewers for doing something they don't like

And about visual effects, in the business we call them visual effects or vfx, nobody call them soecial effects anymore

  6. I saw Joe Versus the Volcano for the first time last night and I loved it so much. I vaguely remember it coming out - it had an eye-catching enough poster for a 10 year old - but I really had no idea what it was about and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised how different it was from what I assumed it might be about. Wonderful, wonderful movie - like a make you look at life a little differently kinda movie. I doubt I ever would have watched it were it not for hearing you guys talk about it so thank you so much!

    1. I love that you dug this so much without the benefit of nostalgia. It's such a fantastic movie.

  7. Same here, actually, when it comes to Joe Versus the Volcano! I watched it as a result of listening to this podcast. I had expected to like it (obviously, otherwise I simply wouldn't have watched it at all, or at least not so soon after - the list is long) - because Meg Ryan, Tom Hanks, the '90's, which is my favorite decade for movies... but not as much as I did... :)

I echo the previous comment: thank you, F This Movie!, for this awesome tip! I'll probably revisit this one many times in the future...
