SMG and Eliza Dushku in Buffy are absolutely my favorite instance of the body swap trope, they both have each other's mannerisms down pat. Of course it helps that you've gotten to know the characters over a long period of time, which can't happen in a movie.
The question about changing your mind about a movie is an interesting one. I have a ton of those, because i grow up, I mature, I get dumber, i learn things.
Often, I'll sour on a movie because of an actor who did crappy stuff. Like I've not watch most of Woody Allen movies, or I can't watch any Lethal Weapon anymore because of Mel Gibson. Yet I'll gladly watch a Kevin Spacey movie, because said movie is just so good.
