On my latest viewing, when I got the 4k, I too didn't have the same reaction as before. A while ago, I'd watch it once a year on halloween with a friend. It's still a fun movie, but I guess I got older and got over it.

ReplyDeleteAs for the Superheroes song, I've always seen it as something more meta. The movie continually references the Charles Atlas ads from old comics, so when "superheroes come to feast," it means we're done with what we've been reading, and it's time to turn the page and read about Green Lantern or whoever.
