  1. The french girl from Out Cold is a french-canadian actress from Montreal, Caroline Dhavernas. She was in Hannibal... and she doesn't age

I always loved her in stuff. I actually bumped into her at the office the other day. I think she was here to do some french dubbing for a movie.

  2. Wesley Snipes is good in Chi-Raq albeit in a supporting role.

  3. Filmspotting is a fine podcast, but they'll never be as interesting as you guys. They talk about roughly the same kind of movies when you guys can talk about Joe Versus The Volcano one week, then talk about horror the next (i don't actually remember the episode after Joe, but you get what i mean)

  5. just watched Only The Lonely. somehow i never knew it existed. and John Candy never crossed my mind a romantic lead. the movie was great, charming and funny. with all the cliché you'd expect from this kind of movie, but well made.

Mr. Riske, i expect a piece on the move in the next couple of weeks ;)

  6. Adam (Mr. Riske?), "Can't Stop the Rock" was featured in the trailers (and possibly the movie itself, I've never seen it) for Boys and Girls, a Claire Forlani/Freddie Prinze, Jr. joint. The dance sequence in She's All That was set to "Rockafeller Skank".

    1. Immediately after hitting publish, I was like "This is the kind of knowledge of movie minutiae that should probably serve as a wake up call of some sort..."

    3. Is it better or worse than Down to You? Do I need to see it before Summer Catch? My Prinze Plate is pretty full these days.

    4. I've never seen Summer Catch. Down to You is better than Boys and Girls but B&G is probably more "fun".

  7. The Chicago cop grilling Richard Kimble about Glenn Gould was the highlight of this episode!

  8. I think there's a difference between garbage and trash. Unlawful Entry isn't garbage. It's trash! Fun trash. haha It's so dumb and over the top and I definitely have affection for how fun it is.

Great episode guys! Really hilarious and I laughed so much at Jewish Freddy and the CHICAGO accents.

    "Are you tellin' me??"

  9. Epic episode guys

Im closer to Riske this time. For reasons I don't even know I watch this film at least once every year. Same with American Beauty.

We love what we love. Reasons don't always make sense why even in my own head
    Lake Placid too
    Every year at least once

  11. Dunno if you guys knew this but the train and the bus they used in the famous crash sequence are actually still there, on site, untouched since the movie filmed. It's in Dillsboro, NC about 50 minutes from my house in TN. I've been there, it's p cool. The crew just left their wreckage there and it's literally just been sitting there ever since. You can google it for pics.

  14. Upon first listen I thought the Ditka references were a little excessive, but then I watched the movie again and Holy Ditka you were completely vindicated. I couldn't stop laughing during the interrogation scene. Regarding the movie, I'd say it is realistic in a Hollywood sense because many of the plot points are pretty thin, but I don't care, Ditka.
