  1. um, I'd read your Dirty Dancing book! after like the 300th time being forced to watch DD, something clicked and i was like OH MY GOD this is AMAZING. that had something to do with age, I believe. as an older person i get it. i like your "tenderness" comment on Swayze. i never liked his looks, but you're right - he has that tenderness quality that always feels authentic and impressive.

i saw mike myers riding the subway once!

and i think its cool to use movies as tools to help you figure out what you want to do in life. one day while i was in real estate i was like - wait, who are the kinds of people i want to be surrounded with in my life? and i immediately knew it was the people who created The Muppets. so i got involved in some puppet workshops that year and met some of the creators and puppeteers, who all inspired me and i felt so at home with them. my life took a sudden turn and i didn't continue with them but hey - why not let a movie help guide your way - why not? :)

  2. Patrick I feel like me and you are the only ones who didn’t care that much for Bad times at the El Royle. Outside of it being a really nice looking movie it doesn’t have much going for it. It takes a really long time to go pretty much nowhere. A lot of people are saying it feels like a Tarantino movie but I got more of a Cohen Brothers vibe some reason. I’ve been dying to hear you guys at Fthis movie give opinion about this film. Sometimes you guys give me a different perspective on movies that I’m a little cold on.

    1. I didn’t like it either. I thought it got slightly better once a certain character dies, ur then it’s just kinda nonsense. Dakota Johnson was the best part, until she wasn’t.

  3. I can't wait to listen to this! Love when Heather is on.

I often like to make the joke that Point Break was robbed of an Oscar by Dances With Wolves. But it was actually Silence of the Lambs that won...and deservedly so, but that's less funny.

  4. I love Clerks 2 so much. It’s also kind of a movie I can point to at a huge turning point in my life, albeit a different scenario than yours, and re,ember exactly what was going on and what was going thru my head. It helped me out a lot. Robs piece on it on here a few months back is terrific.

  6. Not to be *that guy*, but Antonio Banderas is Spanish, not Mexican. I only correct because I love! ;)
