  2. I had a very similar reaction to Happy Death Day 2 U. I thought it was about to go full Primer but unfortunately, like Patrick said, kind of just redid the first movie.

  3. When I took Intro to Film about five years ago my professor showed Bowfinger and it definitely went over well.

  4. What you're saying about film students not caring about the history of film (or even current movies for that matter) is definitely true a lot of the time, but if it inspires any hope, I'm in film school right now and I know just as many people who care deeply about both of those and go to repertory theaters to watch all kinds of movies all the time. So I'm genuinely sorry you've gotten stuck with students who clearly don't appreciate what you have to teach as much as they should, but I'm sure you've gotten a few people to care even just a little more than you think you have.

  6. It pains me to say it, but I've been here a while, so I'm going to do it!

"It's real good"....dammit. Both JB and Patrick said this. At least one of you is (or used to be) an English teacher. Both of you have your English teaching licenses revoked!

      Hahaha. Now I'm the fool!!

Anyways, great podcast guys. What are JB's thought's on the Godzilla trailer? Holy Buddha! It looks so good! I'm not one to get excited over trailers, but I'm sure looking forward to this..

    3. Understand that when I say, “real good,” I’m using it IRONICALLY. I’m actually making fun of people who say that. Yeah... that’s it. That’s definitely what I’m doing...
