  1. I have 13 minutes left to listen to but I had to comment that I would totally 150% love to watch The Happening with F This Movie Commentary! I'm a huge Shyamalan fan, even of things many people consider severe missteps, so any excuse to watch a movie of his again is worth it to me! I was also thrilled to hear your appreciation for Signs... have you ever seen the Jason Segel movie Jeff Who Lives At Home? His character in that movie is obsessed with Signs and watches it every day.

Anyway--I'm rambling but great show as always, and happy anniversary! :)

  2. Great retrospective and analysis of your past lists and awesome choices with the new selections but I am deeply concerned that you may have overlooked one thing...WHAT ABOUT PHONE BOOTH?!

  3. I'd probably tell people my favorite movie of 2002 was Adaptation, but if I'm being honest it's probably Blade II.

    1. When I post here, there's a 50/50 chance I immediately wish I could edit it. I once used "unique" twice in one sentence to describe a film.

  4. I had a different reaction to the end of Once Upon a Time In Hollywood...gut busting laughter

  5. I think its totally fine to still have a movie you haven't re-watched since still on your list. Some of the best movies aren't ones I revisit a ton. I get if its one you cant really remember, but on prior podcasts like with Traffic - that would still totally be on my list because I still think its one of my favorites from that year even though I've only watched it once since then.

  6. My original top 2002 list:
    Punch Drunk Love
    Minority Report
    Adaptation
    Bowling For Columbine
    Signs
    About a Boy
    Gangs of New York
    Storytelling
    Frailty
    One Hour Photo

The order that I like these movies hasn't changed significantly, but I think I would add Catch Me if you Can, just under Bowling for Columbine, and The Secretary under Gangs of New York. Punch Drunk Love and Minority Report are really the highlights on this list for me, everything else might as well be a tie for 3rd
