  2. Great podcast (as always) for one of my faves of the nineties and I'm with Adam about Dream Child being arguably the best Elm Street! Regarding Hopkins (bump) first feature Dangerous Game it's on YouTube as it's really hard to get hold of and I do recommend it, it's very eighties but you can certainly see some signature Hopkins style in it!

  3. I'm just amazed I forgot a time when you could see Dennis Leary as the bad guy (essentially) in two great movies on the same weekend. Crazy times. *puffs on cigarette.

  4. If Patrick is the site's Emilio Estevez, LA Doug is Jeremy Piven.

    1. To think I felt sorry for him in '93.

Hey past me, it's OK, let Piven fall!

    2. LA Doug would try to bribe them with a party at Scott Caan's house. Then, when pressed, up it to unlimited Frankie Muniz access.

  5. I'm glad Adam mentioned all the paper blowing around in the streets. It was like Omega Man x100.

I haven't heard the soundtrack in forever, but I did buy it back in 93-94 (I think we all did). It might have been one of the very first CD's I owned, because it's pretty much around that time I bought my first CD player. What a crazy idea, mashing up all these rock bands that I love with these rap groups which I also love.

This movie was pretty great, but I don't think it would be my favourite Hopkins. I watched The Ghost And The Darkness recently, and liked it quite a lot.

But I'd like to visit more of his movies. Blown Away is next up (one of the WHM guys offhand mentioned that he loved it, and they have pretty good taste. Of course our very own Adam as well). NOES 5 is the only one of that franchise I haven't seen. I saw The Reaping (2007) last SMM, and it was a chore to sit through.

  6. Also, looks like I need to see Terminal Velocity.

    1. I watched it last night. It makes even less sense than they conveyed. Sheen gets arrested because he's basically a stripper celebrity who skydives into parties but accidentally was hired for a children's party. And that's his character setup. and it's the most sensical thing that happens in this movie. But now I'm on a skydiving movie kick, so up next, Drop ZSone!~

  7. Don't drive out here to McHenry this weekend to watch The Flintstones and Jurassic Park, unless you want to come watch them at my house....
