  1. Exactly right as JB says re Curse of Frankenstein , remember my dad telling me about seeing it when it first came out and the graphic quality in colour was truly shocking for 1957. Now I see them as literary adaptations . I'm afraid I prefer the more lurid, exploitative later additions!

  2. This was a hotly anticipated podcast for me, and it didn't disappoint in the slightest. And I'm really glad you decided to separate out the franchises, so I'm looking forward to Dracula sometime in the future. Great show, gents! You've convinced me I need to give FRANKENSTEIN AND THE MONSTER FROM HELL another shot, because it didn't click for me previously.

And many thanks for shouting out Cobwebs, that means a lot.

  3. Hocus Pocus finished number 2 at the box office last weekend. Making less than 2 million dollars in 2570 theaters. Just a sad state of affairs for theaters nationwide.
Hocus Pocus seems to have a big cult following with women who were kids in the 90s. My sister loves it and got her daughter hooked on it.

  4. I have not seen any of these and after listening I've decided I need to see all of them.

  5. It's sad to hear that we probably will not see a true "Hammer Monster Anthology" for at least 20 years - nice podcast though. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the next installment of this hopefully new tradition.
