  1. (About anime adaptations...) Kenshin is pretty good! I haven't seen the sequels yet though.

  2. I enjoyed the Synder cut with some reservations. I agree with you with regards to the epilogue it's totally superfluous. There's a fantastic 150 minute superhero film in this juggernaut somewhere, you just need to trim away the fat. I suspect somebody will do a fan edit on the internet someday.

  3. I was told I need to take a shot everytime WW comes onscreen, and the wailing woman theme plays.

    1. Good thing I did not play that game! Actually, I'm sick as a dog, and watched it while I was collapsed on the couch. I don't know whether it was enjoyable due to my fevered state. For comparison, I watched a simple screensaver for a full hour earlier, which wasn't unpleasant. I'm in rough shape.

Looking forward to hearing what everyone thought of it on the podcast.

  4. On the comics front: I recently subscribed to Marvel Unlimited, and it's a decent deal at $70 a year. Not the same as collecting, but it solves the space problem, at least.

  5. Perfect sign of how Snyder (and overall I liked a lot of this movie) was how he chooses, instead of an inspiring uniform, to wear the same gray uniform worn by the people responsible for all the deaths in Metropolis. Like...no.

  6. I'm glad you guys liked it. I surprisingly liked it too, aside from a few hard eye rolls. I was just thinkig the other day if you took the raw footage from Enemy Mine and re-edited it today with a new score it could be an instant classic. Of course we should be careful doing this, but I'd bed there are people who could take something OK and make it great. Snydercut of I am Legend please

  7. With this release I think they fulfill the idea that you can introduce team members and have them complete an adventure together without a 20-something movie arc. Its what separated them from the MCU and a great idea. Clearly the original release was botched. Pandemic streaming series and HBO Max theatrical releases made possible something that wasn't in 2017. A bright spot for us movie fans.
