  1. from what i've read, Dalton didn't renew after the hiatus of the lawsuit because they wanted to contract him for 3 movies, but he wanted to only do one more. so they called it quits

  2. I recommend checking out the Sicario sequel - it was much better than I expected based upon the reactions I read. I feel it'll benefit from being viewed as the middle movie of a trilogy and I've just seen they intend to make a third one so, hey, movies.
