Patrick mentioning people describing the plot of Nightmare on Elm Street to him as one of his gateways to horror is very similar to mine, except it was Friday the 13th movies and their kills being described to me. I’m pretty sure my first time actually seeing them was on Monstervision with Joe Bob Briggs. I guess they would have been edited for TV, but I still enjoyed them.
