Speaking for myself personally, this is a great podcast choice for today because:
ReplyDeleteA.) I love Prince
B.) It’s my birthday today
C.) This movie was released in 1984, the year I was born!
Holy crap, it's the first time i heard an ad play during the podcast, that was weird. I knew it was coming, but i kind of forgot about it. Do you get more money if we listen to the ad?
ReplyDeleteSorry about that! We are trying it out. I have no idea what the rules are for listening to ads, but thank you for asking! Our shows are also no ad-free through the Patreon page.
DeleteDon't worry, you're fine. Anything to get you more money. I'm subscribed to your patreon but i prefer the functionality of my podcast app. I was just surprised the first time, i was not complaining.
DeleteWhat app are you using, Kunider? Most of them support private RSS feeds, meaning you can get the Patreon feed into the app too. I use PocketCasts and I have the two Patreon podcasts I pay for (FTM being one of them of course) right next to the regular feeds.
DeleteShit, you're right, completely forgot about that. I also use Pocketcast, i set it up once, but somehow it got deleted and i forgot about it. Either way, i don't mind the ads.
DeleteIf you go on the Warner Brothers studio tour in Hollywood, they will take you to the "alley" of the New York street set where the famous poster and album cover of Prince on his motorcycle was photographed. Cool.
ReplyDeleteBecause of movie magic, this Purple Rain photo shoot location is a mere stone's throw away from the dirt path on the Warners lot where the "Must go faster. Must go faster" scene in Jurassic Park was filmed. The more you know...
ReplyDeleteThank you @Rollerwriter for reminding me that I wanted to mention A Hard Day's Night when talking about great rock movies!
