Happy Labor Day from F This Movie!

  1. I see what you did there! :D

Happy Labor day to all 'F' heads. To celebrate Labor Day Weekend I saw FIVE movies in theaters between late Sunday and mid-Monday afternoon. It's been a while since I've seen more than one movie in theaters since "Big Brother" is on and I have to monitor the feeds/"After Dark" SHO2 show/blogs to keep up with this crazy season; Go Dan! :-)

Caught "Forbidden Games" (Rene Clement's WWII French movie from '52 in 35mm; a classic, one of the best movies I've seen in my life!), "Samsara" (Ron Fricke's follow-up to his 1992 wordless 70mm epic "Baraka"), "Brave" (Pixar's 'girlie' action flick), "Moonrise Kingdom" (JB's glowing recommendation in the 'Summer' podcast pushed me; love the closing credits, the movie itself is just OK but Wes Anderson doesn't do much for me outside of "Rushmore") and, last but not least, "Marvel's The Avengers" for the third and last time in theaters (summer started with a bang, might as well finish on the same cool bang; it's flawed but no other movie in the summer came close to the fun "The Avengers" can still deliver on threepeat viewing).
