Great Podcast guys! If anybody wants to watch Demon Knight or Bordello of Blood there both on HBO Go right now
ReplyDeleteThe version of Ritual that I watched did have the Cryptkeeper in it. He was talking with a comedic Jamaican accent, mon.
ReplyDeleteWeird. The one on Netflix didn't have him????
DeleteMalin Akerman is actually 37 so its not out of the question that she would have a teenaged daughter.
ReplyDeleteGood lord, Ridge and Town & Country cinemas. That takes me back (I actually worked in Town & Country for a while back in the '90s, when it was still an indoor mall and I worked in the Waldenbooks).
ReplyDeleteAs for Bordello of Blood, the best part of the movie is when Dennis Miller escapes. That says a lot about my take on the movie.
I used to go to Waldenbooks at T&C all the time. That and the pet store.
DeleteCheers guys Great fun as ever, I've gone on record before about my love for Demon Knight, I genuinely love it, Evil Dead 2 and Demon knight is the funnest double bill ever
ReplyDeleteNice to hear Tresspass getting a shout out too, I always hoped for a Bluray one day but it never happened,
Re Wishmaster movies I enjoyed part 1 and 2 and I will never watch 3 and 4 again ever
I'm off to start the Scream Movies series now as I got excited on the previous podcast
Cheers for reading out my SMM review Adam, it made me smile all day
Damnit I think I need to swap one of my '80s/'90s movies out for Demon Knight. Either Pumpkinhead or Candyman. You guys sell things too well.
ReplyDeleteI like Candyman more than Pumpkinhead. Hope that helps.
DeleteAlright, I was leaning that way too. See you next year, Pumpkinhead.
DeleteHey thanks for the shout out, Adam! Though, now I'm a bit nervous.
ReplyDeleteDon't be. Can't wait to see your movie :-)
DeleteI had more fun listening to you guys talk about Bordello of Blood than I've ever had watching it. I saw Bordello of Blood in the theater, hoping for the magic of Demon Knight, and like everyone else, was sorely disappointed. Apparently the projectionst where I saw it cared as little about the film as Universal. Whoever built the movie after the film cans arrived wasn't paying attention. A minute or two from a scene in the third act were accidentally spliced into a spot early in the second act; and were spliced in upside down, to boot. Who cares though, right? It's Bordello of Blood. Looking back, that was the most entertaining aspect of the movie, and I can never experience it again.
ReplyDeleteRight when you said The New Arrival all I could picture was that creepy kid in the white mask.My favorite episodes were probably House of Horror, Television Terror, The Ventriloquist's Dummy & Cutting Cards. I also was one of those poor souls who saw Bordello of Blood opening day. Great podcast! It brought back many memories my teens years watching Tales from the Crypt & for some reason Monster Vision on TNT.
ReplyDeleteI almost forgot to mention my fave line
ReplyDelete" Get that Pussy off the table"
And of course "If it makes you feel good Do it!"
Another question. If I'm going to show The Mist to a small handful of people that have never seen it, should I play it in b/w or color?
ReplyDeleteI would go with black and white. It's scarier and better in this case.
DeleteGreat. I'm excited. Thanks!
DeleteI've never seen Demon Knight, but I went ahead and got it because of this episode, so I better not be disappointed. I also went ahead and got Bordello of Blood because, like Patrick, I can't just own one of them.
ReplyDeleteWell, what do you know? Another great fuckin podcast. Do you guys ever get sick of being insightful and entertaining? It's getting a little annoying. Although I do agree Demon Knight is a better movie, I find Bordello of Blood more watchable. Don't get me wrong, it's terrible. This is one of those that I bet is reassessed as great because we enjoy watching a train wreck. All of the 80s stuff we love is garbage...but beautiful garbage. I think one day Bordello of Blood could be beautiful garbage.
