  1. Happy Thanksgiving to everybody at F this movie! I'd like to thank you for turning my casual podcast listening into a full-blown coke addiction. I wake up every Wednesday morning to open up my browser for my next podcast like it's a weekly Christmas. You also got me to read and I hate reading! I know I speak for everyone when I say how grateful we are for what you do. Don't ever change! I need that sweet F'n nose candy...

  3. Thankful that I watched "A Christmas Horror Story". Maybe it was my lack of horror post SSM 15 but this one just delivered. In terms of discussing movie merits on a F This Movie community level I am certainly a neophyte (thankful Doug gave me that fancy word "Four Fingers") but I'll give it a shot. I'm a sucker for the book ends and it delivered. Felt the movie was dripping in an unusual but effective atmosphere. Perhaps it can only be captured immediately after Turkey Day and before X-Mas is in full swing (my perception). That being said, maybe I watched it at the perfect time and in the right mindset. However, IMO it delivered the best X-mas horror story to date and is certainly an anthology that can go toe to toe with the best of them. During the Santa shit I couldn't get the grin off my face! I think I enjoyed it more than "Tales of Halloween"...at least this year. Happy Turkey Day F This Movie!

Thankful for the various branches service and dedication. I wish you all a safe return.

    1. Oh yeah Shatner...fucking Shatner! Only Mark Hamill using his Joker voice could have made this better!

    2. Awesome! I am really excited to watch this. Are you going to watch Krampus? My goal is to watch a shit ton of Xmas horror this December. Do you like any others you would recommend?

  4. I am definitely going to watch Krampus! I haven't seen much in this particular sub-genre. The only ones I remember watching were the Gremlin movies and I think the remake of Black Christmas but in all honestly it's been so long I don't really remember anything significant about them. However, after my positive experience aboveI thinking I may follow your lead and dig into it this year. I've heard positive things about Silent Night, Deadly Night so that will likely be next on my list. While it's not a movie I do recall Supernatural Season 3, Episode 8 A Very Supernatural Christmas as good fun...at least for "Scary" TV. I guess I'm just a sucker for Santa's evil counterpart. Enjoy X-mas horror month and let the peeps know what's worth taking a look at.

    1. "Silent Night" the remake of "Silent Night, Deadly Night" is pretty good. "Black Christmas" is classic, of course, "Silent Night, Bloody Night" was one of my favorite new discoveries during SMM this year, Aja's "P2" is slept on and is a Christmas movie, "Sint" and "Rare Exports" are decent, "The Children" is also a pretty good one. Those are some recommendations I can think of off the top of the dome.

  5. Wow, that is pretty amazing. Appreciate you taking the time to steer me in the right direction. This is now my to do list. Curious what you thought about "A Christmas Horror Story"? Sure I over sold it, so I would be curious what a true connoisseur's opinion on the movie is?

    1. I liked Christmas Horror Story. I left my thoughts under a past post on here. I thought it was kind of boring but the feel and look of the film totally nailed it and the wrap around saved the film. Shatner was better than ever also!

    2. Chaybee, have you seen Submerged yet? I'm not crazy about the last act, but Steven C. Miller is a really good director. I'm a fan.

    3. I was getting really frustrated with the lack of new Horror that was released over the long holiday weekend and I looked at Submerged and decided to skip it. Now, I'll definitely check it out and you just picked the last movie of the night for me. Thanks for letting me know, Patrick.

Btw - watched LA Slasher. Ummmmm.....I have no idea how I feel about that movie. I think it's really, really shitty although I liked watching it. By no means am I recommending it, just wondering if you gave it a shot since it was one of the only Horror releases to VOD this weekend.

    4. I haven't. And I can't quite tell if I should based on your review?

    5. Haha! Yeah, I really don't think I can recommend it. It's a full on bashfest of reality TV stars but it's handled in a really smarmy and flashy way. I mean, Andy Dick is the voice of the slasher if that tells you anything (the film is not cheap though, it looks good).

I also just remembered - 220 electronics, the place where I got my region free blu ray player is having a holiday sale at the moment. Might be worth checking out if you are ready to finally pull the trigger.

    6. That's where I got mine as well. I'd encourage anyone thinking about it to just do it. There's too much good stuff that may never see the light of day in the U.S.

    7. Nice! I did not know you finally scooped one up. Good stuff.

    8. Yes! About a year ago. I'm happy with it, though the few titles I have imported have gone on to get a US release (except of course my German Blu-ray of The Taking of Beverly Hills). Now I just need to be able to afford UK discs.

    9. Awesome. Yeah, I jumped on that Boomer Blu Ray the day after I saw it!

    10. Don't know if you're interested in "Livide" (the film from the "Inside" directors) but the region B Blu is 12 bucks on Amazon. I got it a while ago and I like the film.

  6. Krampus told me to not use the reply button properly or I would get the hook. Sure you all understand.

    1. I was able to see a screener of it. It's that time of year. I think it's getting a limited release in December.
