Patrick and Stephanie are plagued by technical problems and zombies. Always zombies.

You spoil us with the amount of content you put out!
ReplyDeleteI haven't even listened to the last one, saving it for a boring work night.
Fuck you guys
ReplyDeleteWe're watching Suspiria
Love it
Yusssss
ReplyDeleteYou guys might, MIGHT, have reached critical mass with your 7 word review count. But I have had so much fun writing them and take a weird, spooky, creepy level of pride in hearing mine read out... So get ready for 15 additions tomorrow following a 24 hour horror marathon at Melbourne's Astor Theatre.
ReplyDeleteAlso just watched Return of the Living Dead the other day and haven't thought of a review yet, but am so glad I watched it in accidental preparation for this podcast.
Keep up the great work guys, you're right that great horror podcasts are few and far between and yet your one-month-yearly horror podcast is a joy to listen to.
I watched a lot of Amicus films and Candyman earlier in the month without knowing they were doing podcasts on them. We're either psychic, or we have more power around here than we realize.
DeleteThere's definitely something in the air, I too watched a couple of Amicus portmanteau films before the podcast, and I also saw the first five Leprechauns, which might yet come into play at some point during the month.
DeleteShout out for the Melbourne peeps! So bummed I can’t make it to the Astor tonight. Line-up looks awesome. Have a blast Marcus!
DeleteThe Astor Spooktacular was such a great night! Only made half way through, but seeing Beyond in 35mm was such a treat. And totally converted me to Hellraiser!
DeleteThe most fun this month, thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteStephanie, you were delightful!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteI am loving getting so many podcasts in such a short span of time this month. I really appreciate all the effort that goes into #SMM by you guys, even if I don't watch a ton of horror myself.
ReplyDeletePatrick, I'm still baffled as to how you find the time to record so many podcasts and write columns while also doing things like secretly recording a movie commentary. Thank you sir for the countless hours of entertainment and insight you provide.
ReplyDeleteAnd I continue to enjoy hearing Stephanie (on the dozens of podcasts she does), although I do believe it's an F This Movie right-of-passage now to do some sort of collaborative column with Adam Riske.
Steph anytime
DeleteI’m taking this as an iron-clad contract!
DeleteGreat show! I really enjoyed it. I watched 1&2 during this year's junesploitation. The first is so much crazy fun and I really enjoyed it. Need to see it again! The second, I felt, was like a bad kid's movie copy of the first. But I clearly need to see the third now.
ReplyDeleteBut speaking Yuzna, what are people's thoughts on Bride of Reanimator? I remember it being a big step down from the first, but having a real balls out ending. I just got the arrow blu though, so it's due for a revisit.
I've always been a booster for BRIDE. Sure it's imperfect and a bit uneven, but it's fun, has a lot of heart, and the effects are INCREDIBLE.
DeleteI must be out of the loop, but you guys have mentioned James Wood on the past couple of episodes as being terrible. What did he do?
ReplyDeleteFun ep! The warbling audio issues make it sound like Patrick is transmitting that dream message from Prince of Darkness haha.
ReplyDeleteHi. I am a fan of the podcast and I was very happy to see a show dedicated to Return of the Living Dead. Part one is one of my all time favorites. It does not get the accolades or credit it deserves in the genre.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I heard you mentioned horror podcasts on this ep. We've got two that you might enjoy. Our Monster Men video podcast on YouTube and Final Guys, our horror podcast on iTunes. We're actually talking about Return of the Living Dead this week on Final Guys. (www.finalguys.com) - Cheers
