  1. Oh, I agree that Scream for Help is amazing. I just hated myself after watching it. I mean, no more than usual. But.

    4. Land of the Dead

  3. Some hot hollywood gossip, Atkins 100% boned Ed Harris on the set of Creepshow, and every performance Ed has done since then, all that intensity, he's drawing on that magical experience and how it'll never happen again, because of course...Atkins don't double dip. Ho ho goss, circa 1982.

  4. Funny that you mention Orange is the New Black in connection with Halloween, because in looking up where I saw Andi Matichak before I realized the one thing I had seen her in before was Orange, playing Soso's incredibly vapid hippie friend who visits her in prison. It's one of those really good one-scene performances that sticks in your head.

  5. Loved this episode, and happy Halloween to everyone!

Man this list was way harder than I expected, I ended up having to lean on some action-horror movies so I didn't have too many franchise repeats (FvJ is a repeat but since it's a unique beast I gave myself a pass).

    1. The Exorcist
    2. Blade 2
    3. The Purge Election Year
    4. Evil Dead (2013)
    5. Phantasm Ravager
    6. Resident Evil-The Final Chapter
    7. New Nightmare
    8. Freddy vs. Jason
    9. Halloween 2 (2009)
    10. Jason X

  6. While I don't have any sync issues with either the 5.1 or the stereo track on the Scream Factory Creepshow Blu-ray, the 5.1 mix is faulty in that is pitched higher than it should be. Just switch between the two tracks, or between this and the previous WB Blu-ray, and the problem will become apparent - if Ted Danson sounding like he sucked helium didn't jump out at you. Maybe this indicates a PAL source for the audio? Although it's not faster than the stereo mix, just pitched higher. Are you getting sync issues on both tracks? If it's just the 5.1 mix - which is the default - that's out of sync, see if the stereo track works. Either way Scream Factory isn't responding to complaints about the track (they're still dealing with the shipping problems with the poster exclusive), so this will likely be one of their screw-ups that stays uncorrected - like Serial Mom or the Billy Jack and Pink Panther boxes.
