I think the first time I saw the House of 1000 corpses trailer was in front of The Watcher. F This Movie reminding me that I saw The Watcher in theaters…but also reminding me of The Willies…so it balances out
An Erika show and not a single tie?! I demand a refund!
I thought Dennis Miller was a guest with all the 'babe's'. That's just a dum joke, I'm very happy when people champion Mr Zombie and Mrs Moon Zombie. Nicholas Cage must be lurking around them, because they're National Treasures. Also, could Cage and Zombie please work together? Or would the world split?
We were teased a collaboration with the "Werewolf Women of the S.S." trailer. Now it just needs to happen for real.
Fug yes. I would love Sheri and Nic going from zero to a milion mph together.
I went to an Ozzy Osbourne concert in December 2001 where Rob Zombie was the penultimate act (I think Staind was the opener so, wow what a time). In the middle of his act, Zombie stopped everything to tell us about a movie he just finished, and how excited he was to show everyone. Then the stage went dark and he played maybe the first 5 minutes followed by a truncated trailer. The audience, presumably mostly there for Ozzy, were so confused. I think we thought this was just his segue to the next song, but it just kept going...
There definitely needs to be a T-shirt that says "RZ IS FOR ME" would buy
I love reading the 5 word reviews. And one of my favourite parts of SMM is having the best ones read out on the podcast. I'm usually left giggling as I'm reminded of them. I thought 3 From Hell played really well during the "Birthday Party Twitter Fest"? It was my 2nd time watching it, and I certainly enjoyed it more the 2nd time. Who knows. It's hard to see how many people are checking out during a twitter-fest movie, but I don't remember the comments that were made being negative much. 2 Erika episodes in as many months! I know it's difficult to organize to record them, but just want to say it's appreciated!
And SO MANY Patrick episodes over the past ~10 years. Also very much appreciated!
What's going to be the franchise? Hellraiser? Final Destination? Anaconda? It's going to be Anaconda, isn't it?

So regarding the question of “why does it seem like everybody suddenly likes Rob Zombie”, I really think a lot of us are just young. I was 6 when this movie came out, and the biggest Rob Zombie fan I know in real life is 3 years younger than I am. I think it just took some time for a lot of fans to get old enough to watch the movies (or least old enough to bother seeking them out).
Sorry, I was 10 when this came out. haha Had the year mixed up.
@Erika: FYI i, too, recently viewed Terror Train and was surprised by how much i enjoyed it! i think i may have seen it as a kid but didnt remember much. i like the atmosphere...the kinda sorta mystery to it..the creativity of a killer changing costume..and frankly some of the storylines with the kids was written better than alot of slashers. Not to mention it shines yet more light on what an amazing prolific career the talented Jamie Lee has led. She rocks.
I've had such a hard time connecting with Rob Zombie movies, and I think it comes from not being able to relate to the characters and being thrown off by the 'trashy' dialogue and social interactions. Even though I consider myself a huge horror fan, I've found some his stuff a little too mean-spirited especially towards women and doing sadistically violent stuff just for the sake of shock. But I really respect the opinions of Patrick and Erika and so, I am once again feeling like I need to give his work another chance. I do admit that he is a great visual director and he knows how to really creates an ambiance and use scenes to drive powerful emotions. I won't deny he is talented, and maybe soon, I can join Team Zombie.
