Netflix This Movie! Vol. 147

by Patrick Bromley
In honor of my trip out to L.A. this week, here are some L.A. movies to watch on Netflix this weekend!

Staying Positive: Mortal Kombat: Annihilation

by Adam Thas
Since 1997, I’ve had a Love/Hate relationship with Mortal Kombat: Annihilation as one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in the theater, while also being one of my favorite movie going experiences.

Review: Lights Out

by Adam Riske
Good for what it is but maybe bad for what it represents.

Cinema Bestius: Fargo

This outstanding, entertaining film has been so written about and discussed that I considered spending this entire column talking about the stamps. Even though it’s just a three-cent stamp; people don’t much use the three-cent. Of course, whenever they raise the postage, people need the little stamps…

Better Than This Summer: Summer '99

by Patrick Bromley

Cinema Bestius: The Wild Bunch

The Harry to My Henderson

by Melissa Uhrin
I believe in the inevitability of a zombie apocalypse.
I believe in ghosts.
And I believe that when I'm walking through the rocky mountains, I am in equal parts danger of mauling by a grizzly or a Sasquatch.

Whip It Good

by Rob DiCristino
“Put some skates on. Be your own hero.”

Heath Holland On...Fear, Hope and Star Trek Beyond

by Heath Holland
With a new Star Trek movie just around the corner, I’m a nervous wreck.

Review: Swiss Army Man

by Cass Cannon
My love for A24 knows no limits. Not even a dead, farting corpse could keep me away from the theater...if anything it drew me to it. I’m talking, of course, about the summer’s weirdest breakout film: Swiss Army Man.

Reminder: F Breast Cancer! Podcast-a-thon on 7/9!
