CFF Review: JUMBO
by Michelle Swope
With movie theaters closed due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, most film festivals haven’t quite figured out what to do, leaving cinephiles missing the theater experience and almost in a state of panic. CFF 2020 to the rescue.

HANKY PANKY: An Underrated Adventure Comedy
by Rosalie Lewis
Lately, a lot of people I know have been watching a show about Michael Jordan. Well, I recently watched a movie about Michael Jordon -- no, I didn’t misspell that; but yes, he is from Chicago. I can’t speak to his skills on the basketball court, but if you need a former owner of a chocolate factory you’re in luck because this MJ is played by none other than Gene Wilder.

Happy F-in' Birthday!

It’s been awhile* since I’ve written anything for the site that wasn’t set to music, but this is a special occasion. 10 years! Almost as long as we’ve been in quarantine!

Making Possible the Impossible
by Jan Bottiglieri
My friend Patrick once said about horror movies that he didn’t love them because they were “scary” – he loved them because they presented so many possibilities. That simple observation made me see horror in a new light, and instantly deepened my own appreciation for the genre. What’s more, Patrick’s comment reminded me of my favorite quote about poetry: it makes possible the impossible.

What I'm Most Proud Of During These Last 10 Years at FTM
by Mike Pomaro
I’m very proud to be a contributor to F This Movie. I don’t do it often (that’s my own insecurities getting in the way), but having been around since the beginning means a lot to me. It’s been mentioned several times before, but I’m part of the answer to an FTM trivia question: what was the first podcast recorded for FTM? Answer: Patrick and I recorded Young Guns together. Probably a good idea to not kick off the website with that episode.

#FThisMovie10: Favorite Columns and Podcasts
by Rosalie Lewis
I joined the FTM family fairly recently -- my first column ran in August of 2019 -- and I discovered the podcast and site about a year before that--but I’m overjoyed to be sharing in the 10th anniversary celebration. I adore this site and the people behind it, and even though I was clearly late to the party, I’ve often found myself going back through the archives to listen to podcasts or read articles from years past.

Celluloid Ramblings: THE CURRENT WAR

Here’s another one of those movies with a trailer that’s somewhat intriguing and then… poof! The film dies a quick death… like a horse being electrocuted.
