Your 2015 Scary Movie Month Primer

by Patrick Bromley
The best month of the year is just a few days away!

Our sixth annual #ScaryMovieMonth kicks off this week. I know many of you are excited because you've all been dropping hints about its arrival for roughly the last three months. I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL.

Spend the next 2-3 days catching up on all of our past Scary Movie Months: podcasts, columns, reviews and even the last five years' worth of the Scary Movie Challenge, which I know is going to break records this year.

  1. You guys...I just love you guys. Anyway we could spread out SMM to make it Scary Movie Season? September through November? Scary Movie Year? Let's do this!

    1. I could listen to these guys talk about horror movies all year long, honestly.

  2. So you've done a lot on horror is what you're saying? ;-)
I've been marking some old horror on You Tube and Dailymotion for the occasion. I think I may prove this month that despite what he said in his autobiography "The Blood Beast Terror" was not the worse film Peter Cushing ever made
Any chance of a hint about which movie you'll be doing commentary on this year - give us a chance to have it on hand when it's posted?

  3. My brain is gonna exploded!

Where do I even begin to start with that data overload above?
This years SMM is going to be the most epic ever,
I hope your ready for it Patrick, I hope the server is strong? We could actually crash the system, to quote Jaws "We're gonna need a bigger Boat!"
All my new Blurays and Dvds have been delivered, I am ready to go, Chucky, Freddy, Jason, Michael we have a date....

    1. I just realised something, the toughest franchise is not being looked at, even I am also too scared to tackle all the Hellraiser movies, I know you guys have joked about it on the podcast, someone go for it, Every Hellraiser movie, one every night I dare you, to quote Samuel MF jackson, I double dare you MFs!

Could you do it Patrick? You could do a 24 Hellraiserathon, could you survive?

  4. This is...AMAZING, seriously you guys do an incredible job. I'm super pumped for October and it's only because you guys make it so much fun

  5. started listening to you all last December, ( and podcasts in general) I've been waiting on my first SMM more than anything else!

  6. Trying to think of something harmless to watch before I send my mind down harrowing tunnels for 31 days straight :D

  7. Patrick, as you know from me constantly stalking you with notices about broken links (btw thank you for reacting so quick every time), I do my best to catch up on every podcast, but that crazy list is a little bit too much to do in the next 2-3 days. Scrolling through the list makes me feel like I have read or heard nearly nothing during the last few months...
I think I do it like Dennis and simply let my brain explode...

  8. I spent part of my work day today making a tentative schedule. I've been driving my poor wife nuts blabbing about it. I'm so excited.

  9. Other than downloading a bunch of horror movies from Amazon Prime to my tablet for offline viewing (which is so cool) I'm sort of winging it this year. Watching horror movies for SMM and searching for work in October: all horror, all the time! :-) :'(

  10. Made a list of potential movies: stuff I own but haven't watched, stuff that's on Netflix, a few I might stream from Google Play and a couple I borrowed from a friend. The list is 50 movies long. Well at least I'm not gonna run out.

  11. After visiting more of these links, I don't understand why the Final Girls song (under Videos) isn't marketed in bold or something. That shit will put an October smile on anyone's face.

  13. movies as a type of entertainment, a way to have fun. For some people, fun movies can mean movies that make them laugh, while for others it can mean movies that make them cry, or feel afraid. 123movie
